Sonaali is a Global Pop/R&B artist who redefines the sound of R&B through the lens of her South Asian heritage. With rich, soulful vocals and emotional rawness, her music is a magnetic blend of hypnotic melodies, intimate storytelling and cultural duality.

Born and raised in Toronto, Sonaali grew up between the vibrant traditions of her heritage and the modern rhythm of Western life.  While that duality came with its challenges, it also became her greatest inspiration. Inspired by artists like Rihanna, Tyla, Alicia Keys, and Shreya Ghoshal, Sonaali creates music that reflects both her Canadian upbringing and Indian roots.

Trained from a young age as a professional vocalist and recording artist, Sonaali burst onto the scene with her debut single, “Like a Tide” (2022). She has performed at major events across Toronto, including Desifest, The Taste Of Danforth, and large-scale galas, captivating audiences of up to 50,000 people.  Her sound continues to evolve through genre-bending sultry R&B production with experimental tones, and melodies that feel both nostalgic and new.
